Amsterdam
Did you know Amsterdam has more bikes than it has people? Many European cities have lots of bikes — in Paris, I biked to dinner — but Amsterdam has far more than any other city I’ve seen. Near the central train station, there’s a parking lot that holds 25,000 — bikes. I’ve long insisted my favorite way to explore a new city is on a bike. I did a tour with...

Bonjour!
After some more “minor delays” on the Tube on Thursday, I eventually got on a Eurostar to Paris. I spent Tuesday night in Lyon, just south of France, visiting a friend, where there was some sort of awesome all-night music festival street party thing. I plan on uploading photos tomorrow!

"Minor Delays"
While London’s Tube and New York’s Subway are similar in many respects, they are also very different. New York’s system is disgusting, but at least we have air conditioning in trains! But London’s keeps you much more informed: displays in most stations telling you when the next train is coming, and when there’s a problem, you can actually hear the announcements!

Mind the Gap
Arrived this morning in London. Really enjoyed Virgin Atlantic! Their entertainment system, though a bit hard to use, is awesome. If only I’d slept more, instead of watching movies the whole time. I’ve been to London once before, so am trying to see things I didn’t see last time. It’s ashame that everything in London is about twice as expensive than it is in New York! I...
