I’ve been sitting in Baltimore’s Penn Station for over an hour. My train is delayed for almost an hour due to “heat.” I was going to take a photo of the iconic train information board, but an Amtrak employee started yelling at me. “You can’t do that!” she yelled. I was confused. Apparently, taking a photo of the train information display “violates homeland security,” whatever that means. I was instructed to go tell a nearby police officer the egregious offense against our country I had almost committed. “You can’t take photos of the board. You can take photos of anything else in here, except the board,” he confirmed. I guess I’ve figured out where they store the launch codes.
