Gawker Media Hiring Developers, Sysadmins

It’s generally the stories and editorial staffers that garner the most attention in the Gawker Network. But an impressive tech infrastructure supports this growth, and it’s larger than many realize.
Our content management and community architecture is home grown and proprietary, and handles an immense amount of traffic: Our network sees over 30 million global visitors (up 38% year over year) and 450+ million pageviews per month. We publish nearly 10,000 pieces of content per month, and receive over 50,000 comments a day. (More traditional media companies are beginning to adapt some of our innovations.)

We’re looking for a few good souls to join our tech group in our NYC SoHo office (complete with 5,000 sq ft roof deck!), and are specifically interested in these skills:
- PHP + Java Devs
- System Administrator
- Flash Devs
- Interface/UI Devs
- Product
In short, if you’re a techie and interested in having an impact in one of the leading independent online media companies, get in touch with our CTO, Tom Plunkett: tom AT gawker DOT com. Or, if I know you, shoot me an email. We have a 401k and everything!
